This winter, when cabin fever starts to set in and you get a little stir crazy from being stuck inside, channel your creative side and join Townline BBQ and The Salty Canvas, the East Hampton-based traveling paint studio, for a Monday Night Paint Party.
“We are always looking for fun ways to engage the community and build our business,” explained Christy Cober of Townline BBQ. “When we found out that The Salty Canvas was now a traveling paint studio it seemed like a great way to liven up Monday nights this winter.”
The Paint Parties will launch on Monday, December 5th and take place every Monday (with the exception of Monday, December 26th) at Townline BBQ in Sagaponack from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Not an artist? Don’t worry about it since previous experience is not necessary to participate in the basic acrylic painting class where you will take a blank canvas and turn it into a masterpiece that will no doubt turn into a focal point at your humble abode, or maybe not if you’re like me and your painting skills are lacking. But, if you really are as talented as Picasso and attend a holiday season class, you can even choose to gift your sensational creation as present to a loved one – because everyone loves a heartfelt, handmade present.

Nikki Payne, owner of The Salty Canvas, will provide step-by-step instructions during the casual, entertaining workshop, and each week will have a different theme.
“I’m proud of what The Salty Canvas has evolved into,” explained Payne. “I enjoy bringing fun and art, literally, to people’s homes, workplaces, etc., and I’m optimistic about the ability of this business to continue to flex and evolve to fit what my loyal and creative customers want.”
Admission to the Monday Night Paint Parties is $45 per person. The entry fee includes all painting materials and one complimentary happy hour drink. To participate, you must register online within 24 hours of the event.
