Enjoy the open air and natural serenity surrounding the LongHouse Reserve while an amazing artist helps you hone your painting skills.
Every Friday morning this June and July, you are invited to join the LongHouse’s Summer artist, Barabara Thomas, for an art workshop exploring the LongHouse’s extraordinary plant life, scenery, trees, waterways, light, and shade.
The LongHouse is the perfect place for inspiration and imagination to flow freely. Just outside East Hampton Village, LongHouse is one of the Hamptons’ most iconic historic sites, with manicured gardens, stunning sculptures, and a host of programs that bring culture and creativity to the Hamptons.
Every level artist is invited—from beginners to experts—with ample opportunity for one-on-one artist feedback during five sessions. Painters will learn and principles of landscape and nature painting: composition, creating distance, skies, trees, water, mixing the colors of nature, and how to compose a beautiful landscape painting.
Workshops are offered in June and July; feel free to sign up for one or both. Please bring your own materials (list provided on registration).
