Compass Opening Its Third Hamptons Office

Compass recently announced that it will expand its Hamptons reach by opening its first Sag Harbor office. The new location (84 Main Street) is the former home of Strough Real Estate Brokerage, who has teamed up with the technology-driven real estate platform.

“Sag Harbor is an important and increasingly popular sub-market in the Hamptons, and the Compass brand needed to have a presence here,” noted Robert Reffkin, Compass Founder & CEO.

Scott Strough, who founded Strough Real Estate Brokerage in 1995, along with his eight-person team will now operate as members of the Compass family. “Scott’s experience in both retail brokerage and development while offering the absolute best customer service experience is aligned with Compass’s core principles,” said Reffkin. “His deep knowledge of the area, along with the expertise of these outstanding agents, will help us to better serve our client base across the East End.”

Strough brings over 30 years of experience to Compass. “With the backing of Compass’s national brand, agents can leverage their talents, grow their businesses, and maximize the time they spend with clients,” said Strough. “Compass’ use of technology, data, agent support and in-house marketing talent is something no other brokerage offers in the Hamptons.” The real estate vet also gained a greater knowledge of the East End from his 17 years as President of the Board of Trustees of the Town of Southampton. “This is truly a win-win for everyone, and I am really excited to work with the entire Compass team,” he added.

The addition of the Sag Harbor office marks the company’s third Hamptons location. Compass, whose agent population increased by over 100 percent in 2015, has also started its plans for national growth, adding new offices in Washington, D.C., Miami, Boston, Cambridge, Los Angeles, and Malibu.
