Montauk has evolved from a local’s hidden paradise to one of the hottest go-to destinations in the Hamptons. Ruschmeyer’s in Montauk is one of those classic spots that has withstood the many years of transition that the town has seen. For more than 50 years, Ruschmeyer’s has served as a boutique hotel with 19 cabin-style rooms and restaurant. This year, the establishment is under new ownership and has undergone refurbishments with a brand new, elevated look and feel.
The boutique hotel rooms are ideal for a perfect weekend of unplugging. It has a rustic feel all while providing the luxury experience with modern amenities. It’s conveniently just a short distance from Montauk’s Main Street that also boasts a wide array of shopping and recreational activities.
Tucked away in a backroad of Montauk, Ruchmeyer’s has charming views of the water in the distance and iconic sunsets. Diners can expect a new menu consisting of World Coastal dishes made with fresh local ingredients, led by Executive Chef Salvatore Olivella who comes with more than 20 years of international experience.
The menu consists of wood-burning oven pizzas, a spread of seafood focused Mediterranean specialities, farm fresh chicken, and a quintessential New England lobster roll. Ruschmeyer’s new look certainly fits with the trendy Montauk vibes that people expect during their visits. Guests also have access to the lawn that features outdoor fire pits and 15-foot wide umbrellas for shelter in case of inclement weather.
Ruschmeyer’s is open Tuesday to Sunday from 5-10 p.m. with lunch and brunch options as well. Book your visit at Ruschmeyer’s at https://www.ruschmeyersmontauk.com.
