On the perfect golden evening in East Hampton, the FreshDirect House hosted a summer season celebration led by award-winning chefs. The night was a model example for the countless other Hamptons dinner parties FreshDirect will host this summer.
To kick off the season in the Hamptons, FreshDirect partnered with James Beard-nominated chef Ayesha Nurdjaja (Shuka and Shukette) and multi-James Beard Award recipient, chef Alon Shaya (Saba in New Orleans + cookbook author). The full menu by chefs Alon and Ayesha is below.
The brand’s passion for food is obvious. Even the leaders of the world’s leading online grocer get excited about a great meal. Like the hosts, the weather could not have been more welcoming for guests from New York City. FreshDirect and CEO Metin Hacioglu, hosted a wide range of guests – from media and journalists to tech – all brought together by a love for food.
An intimate open kitchen setting allowed the chefs space to mingle with guests, laughing, sharing stories, describing dishes kitchen-side, who can say no to Grandma’s meatball recipe? Food so elevated, yet down-to-earth. Soulful in the way a meal is meant to feel.
FreshDirect collaborated with NYC-based and local events specialists to curate the perfect Hamptons evening – more entertaining than event.
Elevated, yet playful tablescaping was provided by Sagaponack-based sisters chef Juliana White and stylist Roxanne White. Photographer Cameron Burton knows all the best angles – for faces and food. Multi-course service and bartending were incredible, cheers.
FreshDirect arrived in the Hamptons in style with a stunning launch event at 70 Main Street in Southampton Village. Opening their first physical space in 25 years—FreshDirect on Main—is a significant milestone, and the brand is excited to offer experiences all summer to commemorate.
FreshDirect House is hosting a series of culinary events and dinners this June, including NYC-based restaurant collaborations. FreshDirect on Main will stay open through December.
