This year marks the 40th anniversary of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” a cult classic starring Susan Sarandon, Barry Bostwick, Tim Curry, Meat Loaf, and Richard O’Brien.
Whether you’ve never seen the beloved film before, or could recite “Touch-a, Touch-a, Touch-a, Touch Me” word for word, you’re not going to want to miss the “Rocky Horror Picture Show” Movie and Halloween After Party 2015 at the Suffolk Theater on Saturday, October 31st at 8 p.m.
“Time warp down to an interactive Rocky Horror experience where guests will be able to purchase goodie bags to use during the film which includes bubbles, noise makers, confetti, a commemorative glow cup and more,” shared Anthony Cafaro, Marketing Director of the Suffolk Theater. “Then we’re opening up the dance floor for a Halloween after party featuring DJ Phil spinning and cash prizes for the best costumes.”
For those unfamiliar with the plot, it revolves around sweethearts Brad (Bostwick) and Janet (Sarandon), who after becoming stranded during a storm come across the spooky mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter (Curry), a transvestite scientist. Once inside, the innocent couple is introduced to houseful of wild characters, including a rocking biker (Loaf) and a creepy butler (O’Brien). Through intricate dances and rock songs, Frank-N-Furter debuts his newest creation: a muscular man named “Rocky.”
