Earlier this year Guild Hall in East Hampton debuted Part I of their 24th annual Student Arts Festival, showcasing the creative minds of students in kindergarten through 8th grade. On Saturday, March 5th, Guild Hall unveiled Part II, featuring artwork from students in 9th through 12th grade.
“The Student Art Festival Part II represents works in various mediums of those in grades 9-12,” explained Barbara Jo Howard, Director of Marketing & Communications at Guild Hall. “Many of the pieces will be part of portfolios submitted for college admission.”
The exhibit includes works from young artists that reside in Amagansett, East Hampton, Montauk, Wainscott, Bridgehampton, Shelter Island, and Sagaponack. For many, it is their first opportunity to have artwork shown in a gallery.
Howard says Guild Hall is always impressed with the caliber of pieces that are submitted to the exhibit. “We remain in awe of the creative spirit of our young people and applaud their teachers,” she added.

An Opening Reception with performances from local schools will take place on Saturday, March 12th from 2 to 4 p.m. Part II is on display through Sunday, April 3rd.
