Anne Weissman, the show’s director, is excited for this “absolutely fantastic fine arts show. It is well-received every year and we work hard to keep the show fresh. 80 percent of artists return, while 20 percent are new.”
Indulge in personal conversations with the artists to learn more about the inspiration behind their work and the specific process used to create the one-of-a-kind pieces.
The festival will open at 12 p.m. on Friday, May 27th, and is open until 6 p.m. On Saturday, May 28th and Sunday, May 29th, the art show is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Memorial Day Weekend Montauk Art Show is directed by the non-for-profit Montauk Artists’ Association. “This show is a fundraiser for the local Montauk community,” said Weissman. “We provide free lessons to children and a scholarship every year to a graduating senior of Montauk or East Hampton high school who will study art of any kind in college.”
The Montauk Artists’ Association is overjoyed to provide a weekend filled with incredible artistic talent that will inspire wonder and beauty. Weissman remarks, “The show is free and everyone is welcome to come!”
