Springs Improvement Society (SIS) will present the 37th Annual SIS Members Art Show at Ashawagh Hall in Springs over Memorial Day weekend.
“The Springs Improvement Society Members Show has been a tradition of mutual support between the many talented artists in East Hampton and Ashawagh Hall,” Carol Mohlenhoff, SIS Secretary, said.
The 37th Annual Springs Improvement Society Members Art Show will feature works from abstract painter Barbara Groot, painter Gabriele Raacke, illustrator Marilyn Church, painter Josh Dayton, sculptor Setha Low, and muralist John Philip Capello.
“All artists who are members are invited to submit a piece which includes paintings, sculpture, illustrations, photography and other forms of art expression,” Mohlenhoff added. “Ashawagh Hall has been a well known venue for artists for many decades.”
The 37th Annual Springs Improvement Society Members Art Show will be on view on Saturday, May 29 and Sunday, May 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Monday, May 29 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will also be an Opening Reception on Friday, May 28 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The evening will include the chance to purchase SIS merchandise and 50/50 raffle tickets, with funds raised going towards the upkeep of Ashawagh Hall and the SIS Scholarship Fund.
