Hamptons Take 2 Documentary Film Festival Showcasing 22 Documentaries

“In this year’s festival, we have a wide variety of illuminating documentaries—dealing with art, politics, biography, sports, humor, the environment and young voices—featuring a Q&A after every film, emceed by spirited broadcast personality Bonnie Grice and arts writer/film critic Andrew Botsford,” said HT2FF founder and executive director Jacqui Lofaro of Bridgehampton.”

From Friday, December 6 through Sunday, December 8, it’s “all docs, all day” at Bay Street. The Sag Harbor Theater will showcase the Festival’s 22 documentary films.

The sixth annual Hamptons Take 2 Documentary Film Festival debuts with a free special event in observance of World Aids Day on Thursday, December 5, from 5 to 8 p.m. HT2FF co-partnered with the David E. Rogers M.D. Center and Southampton Hospital for a special panel discussion on “AIDS: Then and Now,” which will kick off the event. At 7 p.m., a screening of David France’s 2013 Academy Award-nominated documentary “How to Survive a Plague” will be shown.

Tickets for each HT2FF film segment are $15, and $13 for senior citizens, but not through online sales. Tickets to the Saturday night gala are $30, which includes entry to the reception as well as the film. A three day festival pass is $100, and includes gala entry.
