Now that Christmas trees and The Elf on the Shelf have started to pop up at homes across the East End, it’s time to commence Yuletide celebrations. If you’re looking for a festive family friendly event, Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center is presenting two seasonal shows that will both warm your heart with holiday cheer.
On Friday, December 4th at 8 p.m., Long Island Symphonic Choral Association (LISCA) is headlining Carols From Around the World, a holiday season concert. The evening will include traditional carols and holiday songs by several contemporary composers, such as Gregg Smith and Eric Whitacre, and music by Dave Brubeck. LISCA, which is known for its impressive intonation, has taken the stage in New York City at Alice Tully Hall, the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Carnegie Hall, and St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, as well as internationally in 11 European countries and in Argentina and Uruguay. The performance is bound to leave you feeling jolly. Tickets begin at $25.
