The Hampton Ballet Theatre School will present their spring ballet, a comic Cinderella adaptation, on Friday, April 28 at 7 p.m., Saturday, April 29 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Sunday, April 30 at 2 p.m. The performances will be held at Guild Hall’s John Drew Theatre in East Hampton.
Cinderella will be danced to Prokoviev’s poetic score and is choreographed by Sara Jo Strickland, Director of the Hampton Ballet Theatre School. Costumes are designed and hand sewn by Yuka Silvera and lighting is designed by Sebastian Paczynski.
All the performers in Cinderella are dedicated and trained at the Hampton Ballet Theatre School. There will also be guest artists Nicholas Sipes as Prince Charming and Adam and Gail Baranello of A&G Dance Company as the Father and Evil Stepmother.
“Hampton Ballet Theatre School’s students are so excited to present Cinderella,” said Strickland. “They have been working very hard, since January, perfecting their parts.”

This ballet showcases the classic tale of Cinderella, danced by Rose Kelly, with the captivating Fairy Godmother, the mean-spirited antics of the steps sisters, Prunella and Esmeralda, and the ultimate rags to riches fable, it will enchant and delight audiences from all age groups.
“The audiences will enjoy students and professional dancers as they dance the timeless story of Cinderella to Prokofiev’s vivid score,” added Strickland.
Tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for children under 12 years old, for general orchestra seating in advance. Day of performance ticket sales are $25 for children and $30 for adults for regular orchestra seating. Premium orchestra, box seats, balcony, and group rates are also available.
