A Christmas favorite, The Nutcracker, will be performed for the 9th consecutive year by The Hampton Ballet Theatre School (HBTS). This year’s production will take place at Guild Hall’s stunning John Drew Theater on Friday, December 8 at 7 p.m., Saturday, December 9 at 1 and 7 p.m., and Sunday, December 10 at 2 p.m. The ballet is choreographed by HBTS Director, Sara Jo Strickland, and includes costumes designed and hand sewn by Yuka Silvera and lighting by Sebastian Paczynski.
“Hampton Ballet Theatre School’s Nutcracker has become a holiday tradition on the East End, nine years running,” said Sara Jo Strickland, Founder & Director of HBTS. “The Hampton Ballet Theatre School’s accomplished dancers along with professionals from the East End and NYC will delight your whole family as they dance to the beautiful Tchaikovsky Nutcracker score!”

Resident guest artists Adam and Gail Baranello of A&G Dance Company will be joining HBTS as the Arabian Prince and Princess. Sharing the roles of Dew Drop Princess will be Holiday Bovio and Jillian Hear. The Snow Queen will be danced by Beatrice DeGroot and Devon Friedman. The Sugar Plum Fairy will be performed by Samantha Prince and guest artist Nick Peregrino will dance the role of Cavalier. Guest artists Timothy Sloan and James Monroe Stevko will be sharing the roles of Snow King, Dew Drop Prince, and Marzipan. All dancers are Pro Student Level 7 at HBTS.
HBTS’ Nutcracker will captivate those of all ages, as the students of HBTS transport the audience to a land where angels, snowflakes, and flowers dance and Clara saves the Nutcracker Prince from the evil Mouse King. Prepare for an evening of classic holiday cheer and celebrating the Land of Sweets.

“HBTS’ production is a full length Nutcracker, for the community, by the community performed at the beautiful John Drew Theater in Guild Hall,” Strickland added. “It is a feast for the eyes and sure to get you into the holiday spirit!”
Ticket prices range from $15 to $45 and day of performance tickets price range from $20 to $50. Premium, orchestra, balcony, and box seats are available at rates for children (under 12 years of age) and adults. Group rates for all performance are available for groups consisting of 10 or more people.
