The Bonac Festival of Lights is back for the 2024 holiday season, hosted by the East Hampton Masonic Lodge, Star of the East No. 843. The event kicks off on Friday, November 29th, at East Hampton High School, located at 2 Long Lane. Now in its fourth year, this walk-through light display features over 70 holiday-themed displays and is sure to delight visitors of all ages.
The family-friendly display will be open Friday and Saturday nights, from 5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., every weekend through December 21st. The cost to enjoy the light show is $6 for children and $12 for adults. Hot chocolate and popcorn will be available for purchase.
On Friday, December 6th, the Bonac Festival of Lights will partner with the East Hampton High School Student Association to host a festive celebration in the high school cafeteria. The event will feature performances by the music department, holiday crafts, food trucks, and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. Additionally, the annual fire truck decorating competition will take place on December 6th, with local fire departments competing for the coveted trophy.
All proceeds from the event benefit the Star of the East Lodge’s annual scholarship program, which provides scholarships to local high school seniors to support their college education. To date, over $23,000 has been awarded to graduating seniors.
