ccTaylor’s iconic, high-quality designs are all around the Hamptons and the entire country; you likely even have one and don’t realize it. With so many extraordinary Hamptons designs and motifs available and sold, is ccTaylor Southampton’s best-kept secret? We think so!
Ed Vecchio, President of ccTaylor is the kind of guy you could talk to for hours. After first meeting Ed, my first question (vitally important to me as a writer) “Teeshirt” or “T-Shirt I asked”? But Ed’s interest is not spelling. Saying with a smile, “Spell it however you want; our message is the same: always exceptional quality, no exceptions.”
From yarn to fabric to cut and sew, distribution—Ed knows this business stitch to stitch. He could name-drop fashion icons he has worked with all day long. But that is not his style. He’s more original, more down-to-earth, and someone who impresses with his work, not his words. When we met, he was excited about his new “Super-Puff” embroidery style. And for good reason, I got one, and I love it!
They don’t make many like Ed these days, but the same can’t be said about his designs. Bar none, ccTaylor has the best selection of premium Hamptons gear—everything you’ll need to remember your Hamptons vacation for years.
Right in the heart of the Village at 44 Jagger Lane, you’ll be glad you dropped by. Inside, the store is filled with character and style to match its owner. Every time I’m there (sometimes just to say hi to Ed and Bear, his beautiful Shar Pei—famous on his own and serving as an impromptu mascot), people are always commenting on how great the designs are and how surprised they are to discover the showroom.

“In fashion, you have to stay aware, keep your head up, and adapt your styles. Especially today, with social media, the same applies to marketing and building a digital brand that reaches our customers. A few years ago, I knew I needed to ‘go all in’ on social media,” Ed says.
“Keeping my eyes open to new ideas is how I met our absolutely essential and brilliant Social Media Director, Brittany Hochmann. One day I saw her taking photos in front of our showroom in Southampton. Not being shy, I asked her what she was photographing. Turns out, she is a digital marketing expert—EXACTLY what I needed.”
“When Brittany told me she would change my business forever, I never knew how much. She has done so much for ccTaylor, bringing dynamic, creative ideas and concepts into our store and keeping our online presence fresh.”
ccTaylor has expanded into a full-scale digital brand, offering year-round custom orders and servicing many corporate customers. At the helm is Hamptons marketing expert Brittany Hochman as Social Media Director, who says, “The ccTaylor brand exploded as we expanded their audience and increased their reach through the use of digital marketing. Shopping has never felt more seamless as you can like what you see in a photo and tap to purchase directly from their shop. We’re excited to keep up with the digital trends to widen our realm to attract customers near and far.”
Brittany and Ed make a great team, matching Ed’s industry expertise with Brittany’s 21st-century marketing and branding savvy. A veteran of New York’s famous Garment Center with an old-school sensibility about him, Ed could not be happier with what Brittany brings to ccTaylor. Collaborating with Brittany has been critical to ccTaylor’s continued success.
This is the Hamptons, so you know that ccTaylor exclusively uses the highest quality materials, “that means Pima cotton for our tees, garment-washed fleece for our sweats, sheared cotton velour for our famous beach towels, 24 oz cotton canvas for our zippered totes,” Ed says with pride.
You can quickly see the attention to detail and care put into every ccTaylor product, especially the velour towels. My favorites, Cooper’s Beach and Flying Point are just $58 (they retail for over $100)! Not surprisingly, they’re a runaway seller.
Locals are definitely familiar with ccTaylor’s products; they’re all over the Hamptons. You know those iconic hats at the hardware stores? That’s ccTaylor. The design is simple, timeless, and clear. I genuinely love my blue WAINSCOTT hat.
Ever heard of Sun Block Shirts? I know, right? Great idea! ccTaylor’s UV protection shirts are one of the most popular selections for this Summer, for a good reason—they block out 98% of the sun’s radiation, and unlike sunscreen, it doesn’t wash away! Ed tells me, “These are huge with mothers looking to protect their little ones!” Ed chimes in.
If you haven’t been, I highly recommend a visit. Grab your future favorite beach towel, a sunblocking shirt, or an extra sweatshirt to keep in your car—you’ll never know when you’ll need it.
