6/17 & 6/24: A two part experience, Montauk Counterculture will be hosting a screening of The Lost Record on 6/17, hosting a director Q&A after. The following week, guests can enjoy counter-culture music and film icon Ian Svenonius performing live with his current band ESCAPE-ISM.
7/1: Heidi Zumbrun will be showing her “AMERICANA” exhibition, celebrating the 4th of July with a beautiful, albeit different take on American culture. The display will feature photographs of her travels through themainland, encountering the real beauty of American culture. This is the second time Heidi has shown her work at The Montauk Beach House.
7/13: The OFFSHORE Film-Art Festival, a spin-off from the Montauk Film Festival, will be screening a selection of films from the festival with a Q&A with various key players.
7/15: Life-long East End resident and cultural icon Peter Ngo will be showing his mixed media photographic-based work “Lost and Found”. Guest tattoo artist Minka Sicklinger will be on site with a flash tattoo pop up as well.
7/29: Another Montauk Counter Culture & Blue Chip Contemporary NY Art, “New York Eye & Ear Control”, is a group show with New York contemporary artists.
8/5: The screening of Humanity Stoked, a skateboard documentary exploring the challenges of moving humanity forward, as seen through the eyes of the world’s most iconic professional skaters, activists, scientists, artist, musicians, and educators, all whom share unique experiences and perspectives shaped by their love of skateboarding. Director Michael Cohen will host a Q&A after.
8/12: Greg Mike will be hosting his Loud Luau 2022 with an accompanying pool party on 8/13
8/19: A psychedelic dream, Unobtainium Headshop and Boo-Hooray will be hosting a 60s inspired art show featuring posters, records, badges, zines, books, and more that will transport you back to those groovy times.
9/9: Renowned Down Syndrome artist Sevy Marie will be hosting a solo show with a percentage of proceeds going to A Walk On Water, a foundation that empowers children with feelings of pride and accomplishment through the emotional and incredibly transforming experience of surfing.
