There are two people real estate developer Don Peebles has a hard time saying no to: wife Katrina and daughter Chloe. “And so,” he told the group that filled the lawns behind his Sag Harbor estate, “When Katrina mentioned to me that she thought it was a good idea for Chloe to ride horses, I said, ‘sure everyone loves horses.’ What I didn’t acknowledge and what these sports lovers here understand.” A nervous laugh went through the room. Everyone knows: riding horses costs money.
