In this Botanical Painting workshop with Barbara Thomas, students will explore spring buds and plant forms from the LongHouse gardens. They will pick branch forms and early seasonal buds and blooms to paint in the studio, learning and practicing traditional methods of classic botanical painting: looking closely at plant parts and forms, mixing color, brush strokes, how to ālay inā a painting. This workshop is for beginner to experienced students. Please bring your own materials. Some materials will be available at LongHouse.
