Touted as “the most scenic course” by Runner’s World Magazine, it was another successful year for the Shelter Island 10K/5K Run/Walk, presented by Bridgehampton National Bank. The 37th annual run/walk brought out four time NYC Marathon winner and four time Boston Marathon winner, Bill Rodgers, and Olympic Gold Medal winner and the first-ever women’s Olympic marathon champion, Joan Benoit Samuelson.
