The 55th Springs Artists Invitational is being curated by artist Haim Mizrahi, who has lived and worked in Springs for 4 decades. The Springs Artists Invitational Opening is July 29th from 5-8 pm and the Show runs till August 7th at Ashawagh Hall.
This annual event is unique in its rich heritage of giving local working artists an opportunity to share their work with the East Hampton community at large. Mr.Mizrahi intends to continue this tradition by highlighting the incredible diversity of our local artists, and the great variety of their work.
An artist himself, he is assembling an incredible mix of artists in different media and styles. As curator, Mr. Mizrahi is attempting to harness the wonderful artistic energy that has made our community famous around the world.
“There is a thread of energy that runs through the web of an artistic yearning. Much of the meaning behind the 55th “invitational” Rests on the stage of willingness of artists to cope with desires. This year’s 55th “Invitational” is a great example of this manifestation. Bright colors swing between and across the edges of day dreaming and the level of determination. This exhibition surely bring these elements to life.” said Haim Mizrahi.
The 2022 Invitational’s poster is by Eric Ernst. Signed copies will be available for sale at the Opening Reception.
