It’s the 6th Annual Battle of the Fantasy Girl Bands at The Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett to benefit The Neo-Political Cowgirls Dance Theater Collective! Battle of the Fantasy Girl Bands is an amateur band competition where women’s empowerment in its wildest form and fierce community fundraising meet in the fulfillment of Rock and Roll Fantasy.
Headlined by spitnkitn with MC Iris Smyles, the evening will include live music, awards, and a HOT raffle! Ticket prices range from $30–$100, and include a chance to win raffle prizes!
The energetic event is sure to live up to its headline, “Raising hell to raise money for a great community cause.” Women from all walks of life form bands to compete for the glory of winning the MIGHTY HEADDRESS.
Co-created by Holly Li and Christine Sciulli, the event’s goal is to raise funds for the professional and educational work of The Neo-Political Cowgirls. Neo-Political Cowgirls is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) dance theatre company founded by multi-faceted theater artist Kate Mueth to create work rooted in an inclusive narrative dedicated to exploring, celebrating, and amplifying the human voice.
NPC’s performances and programs reach from their home right here in the East End to Off-Broadway, regionally and internationally. By creating new, socially immediate, and site-specific theater, NPC focuses on expanding how we experience theater and how human stories are told. NPC offers a robust series of events, arts advocacy, workshops, education outreach, professional performances, as well as community and world vision-building presentations for all ages.
NPC’s educational programs include January Girls, Dude’s Eye View, and Girls Gaze. Come to the Talkhouse or watch from home. Raffles, MC Iris Smyles, a special appearance by The Cherry Bombs, a crowning ceremony by last year’s winning band Miss Vicious and featuring Headliner Band spitnkitn.
