Chatterbox: Celebs Champion East End Causes

Blythe Danner, Tamara Tunie, and Susie Essman were among attendees of The Neo-Political Cowgirls’ Andromeda’s Sister Gala: Part I. The Cocktail Garden Party was held at Guild Hall in East Hampton on Friday, June 14. The multi-part fundraiser will continue with a Women’s Workshop for Creative Deep Diving and Interview/Conversation with Sarah Greenman of StateraArts, interviewed by Neo-Political Cowgirls Founder Kate Mueth, on Sunday, June 23.

Group for the East End (G4EE) celebrated yet another year of protecting the environment during the annual Swing Into Summer Benefit, the organization’s largest fundraising effort. Held at The Bridge in Bridgehampton on Saturday evening, the soiree brought out Alec Baldwin and Hilaria Baldwin, Tom Colicchio and many more.

The 40th Annual Shelter Island 10K/5K Run/Walk, a USA track and field certified course, on Saturday featured several running legends, including Benji Durden and Kyle Heffner (who made the 1980 Olympic team but were unable to compete in the Moscow Olympics due to the boycott), Bill Rodgers, former Olympian, four time NYC Marathon winner and four time Boston Marathon winner, Joan Benoit Samuelson, Olympic Gold Medal winner and first-ever women’s Olympic marathon champion, Jon Sinclair and his wife Kim Jones, and Keith Brantley.

Willow Smith headlined at The Surf Lodge on Saturday evening. The set brought out model Erin Wasson, Simon Huck, and many more. On Sunday, Kate Naula opened for the legendary Mavis Staples. Mike D and Quincy Davis were among concertgoers.

Brooke Shields and husband Chris Henchy were spotted at new hotspot Blu Mar Southampton.
