East Hampton Village will once again be a buzz with excitement over Mother’s Day weekend when the East Hampton Chamber of Commerce presents the third Annual Spring Street Fair.
On Saturday, May 11, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Newtown Lane in East Hampton will host a myriad of local artists and craftsman, shopkeepers, non-profits, musicians, food vendors, a KIDZONE, and more.
“It’s a true community event to celebrate spring, as well as to showcase our wonderful businesses and organizations,” East Hampton Chamber of Commerce, Executive Director Steven Ringel noted.
The more than 50 booths lining the street will showcase Amy’s Preserves, Grain Surfboards, Manhattan Tackle, Jacqueline Rene Jewelry, VenaRico Designs, Power Home Remodeling, L&M Gallery, Sag Harbor Glass, Beach & Willow, Silk and Sea Designs, White Elephant Designs, Beautycounter, East Hampton Library, East Hampton Food Pantry, League of Women Voters, Project MOST, Ocean Rescue, Meals on Wheels, Share the Harvest Farm, Ellen Hermanson Foundation, The Retreat, and many, many more.
“Project MOST is once again pleased to participate in the East Hampton Chamber of Commerce Village Fair. This is wonderful event and great way to connect with the community,” Susan Hanley, Project MOST Development Director, shared. “Stop by our booth to find out more about our after school enrichment and summer learning programs! This year we are selling Project MOST baseball hats!”
Since Mother’s Day is the following day, there will also be a variety of special items that would make terrific gifts. “Share the Harvest is excited to once again kick off the summer season at one of our favorite events of the year!” Jess Tonn of Share the Harvest noted. “Stop by the Share the Harvest booth to pick up Mother’s Day gifts such as fresh flowers, garden plants, birdhouses, and brunch fixings. All proceeds will benefit our farm’s mission to help feed local families in need.”

The Main Street Stage will offer a wide variety of tunes – from bluegrass to folk to rock ‘n roll – headlined by local favorites like the Lynn Blue Band and the Potter-Tekulsky band.
“Mother’s Day weekend! Lilacs in bloom, great food vendors and live local music! Super fun event!” Lynn Blue Band lead singer Lynn Blumenfeld shared. “Lynn Blue Band is so thrilled to be playing the East Hampton Street Fair again. Everyone comes out of the woodwork- it’s great how the Chamber brings our community together.”
For the Fair, the band will welcome a very special guest. “Our dear friend Pat DeRosa – Montauk’s 97-year-old treasure and amazing sax player is going to sit in for part of the first set,” Blumenfeld added.
Little ones will not want to leave the KIDZONE, which will include a YMCA Summer Camp adventure zone with a climbing wall and jumping castle, face painters, the Art Nanny, arts and crafts and more. They can also check out the impressive science projects from the Children’s Museum of East End-goers, and the East Hampton Airport Association flight simulator – for both children and adults – is bound to impress.
The ARF van will be onsite with a few more special guests. “We are excited to be a part of the Spring Street Fair and support our community in any way we can. We are hoping for a lot of activity around our mobile adoption van and see some of our cats and dogs find their forever homes,” Jamie Berger, Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons Marketing & Communications Director, expressed.
Come hungry because there will be a food court offering up everything from local fresh lobster rolls and clam chowder from Stuart’s Seafood, to wood-fired pizza to homemade pickles from Perfect Pickle to tacos from Matti-taco, and more. Annie’s Sweets’ homemade chocolate, Kona ice, and handmade ice cream from John’s Drive-In have your sweet tooth covered.
This year’s Fair will introduce a Bedside Reading Author’s Signing Tent with notable authors like Natalie Banks (The Canary’s Song), Keele Burgin (Wholly Unraveled), Geanna Culbertson (Crisanta Knight to Death and Back), Dee Delaney (The Truth: Is the Art of Being), Mel Greenburg (Running with Our Eyes Closed), Susan Silver (Hot Pants in Hollywood), Anna Vocinna (East Happy) and Saryon Michael White (Roya Sands and the Bridge Between Worlds). At 2 p.m., children’s author, Ruth Ann Warren, will take part in a special reading from Blossom and Grow that will feature a live pink pony, as well as complimentary gifts to the first 50 children.
Many of the businesses on Newtown Lane and Main Street will also be hosting sidewalk sales.
For those that park at the John Marshall Elementary School parking lot, Circuit, previously known as The Free Ride, will offer their complimentary shuttle service.
