The Thanksgiving holiday weekend in the Hamptons will be jam-packed with the chance to admire several exceptional exhibitions, especially if you’re fond of petite works that pack a punch.
A reception for I’ll let you be in my dreams if I can be in yours, new and recent work by Scott Bluedorn, Stephanie Brody-Lederman, Rossa Cole, Erica- Lynn Huberty, Yuliya Lanina, Jennifer Present, and George Singer, at Sara Nightingale Gallery (26 Main Street, Sag Harbor, www.saranightingale.com) will take place on Friday, November 23 from 5 to 7 p.m. The exhibition will remain on view through Tuesday, November 27.
Small Artworks Holiday Invitational at Romany Kramoris Gallery (41 Main Street, Sag Harbor, kramorisgallery.com) will be on display Friday, November 23 through Sunday, January 13, 2019 – with an opening reception on Saturday, November 24 from 3 to 5 p.m. The exhibition, which will feature small and affordable art as well as fine crafts, will showcase over 30 local artists, including Nancy Achenbach, Lianne Alcon, Herbert August, Olivia August, Adriana Barone, Ann Barzola, Eve Behar, Lois Bender, Joyce Brian, Lauren Chenault, Sue & Al Daniels, Christopher Engel, Patricia Feiwel, Suzzanne Fokine, Rick Gold, Barbara Groot, Barbara Hadden, Ruby Jackson, Mary Jaffe, Adrienne Kitaeff, Romany Kramoris, Peter Lipman-Wulf, Ghilia Lipman-Wulf, Mary Milne, Alan Nevins, Maria Orlova, Isabel Pavao, Heidi Rain Oleszczuk, Christina Schlesinger, Veronica Mezzina and Deby Zum.
Get with the Program 2018 at Roman Fine Art (66 Park Place, East Hampton, romanfineart.com) will launch on Saturday, November 24 with a public reception for the artists from 6 to 8 p.m. The gallery’s third annual holiday group exhibition will encompass painting, photography and mixed media works by 11 contemporary artists who specialize in a multitude of media and genres, including Christina Creutz, Tim Conlon, Ray Caesar, Grant Haffner, Lizzie Gill, Elektra KB, Ciara Rafferty, SWOON, Emma Balou, Kelly Franké and Stephen Wilson.

Small Bites, the sixth annual national juried Small Works exhibition at Alex Ferrone Gallery (25425 Main Road, Cutchogue, www.alexferronegallery.com) opens on Saturday, November 24 – with a reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Revolving around food, the 52 featured pieces were curated by juror and professional commercial photographer Jim Lennon. Works range from representational to abstract to conceptual color to black and white images to artistic still lifes to commercial compositions. All pieces are sized 12×12 inches or smaller. Small Bites will remain on display through Monday, January 21, 2019.
Janet Lehr Fine Arts (68 Park Place, East Hampton, www.janetlehrfineart.com) is hosting a Thanksgiving Saturday Stocking Stuffer on Saturday, November 24 from 6 to 8 p.m. The evening will include exceptional art and entertainment, as well as refreshments and light bites.
Instead of its typical Thanksgiving weekend gathering, for the 14th Annual Thanksgiving Collective, Ourstory, Tripoli Gallery (30 Jobs Lane, Southampton, tripoligallery.com) will present a potluck dinner and salon – with the address provided upon RSVP. Spotlighting the local art scene, the dinner and conversation will take place on Saturday November 24 from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. The evening will also include several Guest Artists who will speak about the inspiration to or within their work.
