When holiday shopping, do you try and find gifts that offer a philanthropic aspect?
On Thursday, November 29, jewelry designer and philanthropist, Joan Hornig has generously offered to donate 100 percent of profits from a holiday trunk show at Parrish Memorial Hall in Southampton featuring Hornig’s Pavé The Way collection to the Stony Brook Southampton Hospital. The one day pop up shop hosted by Southampton Hospital Foundation will be open from 1 to 4 p.m.
“Pavé the Way® Jewelry allows you to express your style while supporting causes closest to your heart,” Hornig explained.
When making a purchase, shoppers can select Stony Brook Southampton Hospital or any of its medical centers or departments to receive a donation (in their name or the name of the person they’re gifting the item to) of the price of the item or items they’re purchasing.
Hornig personally designs each Pavé the Way® piece, which feature sterling silver and/or 18K gold vermeil. Several of the items also encompass diamonds or gorgeous gem stones. The jewelry trunk show will include a curated collection of necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and rings.

“I want to make giving easy and pleasurable, to reinforce that it can be done in pennies, as well as hundreds and thousands and millions of dollars,” Hornig reflected. “I want everyone to be able to participate in changing the world.”
