This wasn’t just an average summer gala. Get Wild! showcased the Rescue Center’s very own rescue animals – including a great horned owl who was rescued after falling out of its nest. The work of The Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center gives animals a second chance at life after experiencing traumatic, near-death accidents. Seeing these rehabilitated animals in-person reminded guests of how fortunate our community is to have these incredible animals in our backyards. Other animals included Cloud and Sonia, two Red Tail Hawks, Eastern Screen Owls named Archimedes and Athena, and Millennium, a Peregrine Falcon.
After meeting the animals, guests enjoyed live music from Ludmilla Brazil, along with cocktails and light vegetarian fare.
