Life@Nite: Hamptons Summer Solstice Soirees And Other Happenings Going On During The First Weekend Of Summer

What should you do during the first official weekend of summer?

Montauk:

George’s Lighthouse Café (2000 Montauk Highway, Montauk, www.georgeslighthousecafe.com) will host an Open Mic on Thursday from 5 to 8:30 p.m. The Sturdy Souls are playing on Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Sunday showcases Waylon Brothers from 5 to 8 p.m.

The Surf Lodge (183 Edgemere Street, Montauk, thesurflodge.com) will have sets from City of the Sun on Friday, Home State on Saturday, and Bob Moses on Sunday. Concerts begin at 7 p.m. The weekend will also bring the annual Swedish Midsummer soiree on Sunday at 7 p.m.

Damien Roman Fine Art and The Montauk Beach House are partnering for a Friday evening opening reception that fêtes photographer Michael Dweck whose work will be on display at The Montauk Beach House (55 South Elmwood Avenue, Montauk, thembh.com). The celebration will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. This weekend’s original Montauk Saturday Pool Party will feature beats from May Kwok and Oli Benz, starting at 1 p.m. and Milagro Tequila will make a special appearance from 1 to 4 p.m.

Gurney’s Montauk Yacht Club & Resort (32 Star Island Road, Montauk, www.gurneysresorts.com) will have music from DJ Nicole Leone on Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. at The Pool Club.

Sloppy Tuna (148 South Emerson Avenue, Montauk, www.lisloppytuna.com) is hosting a Summer Kick-Off Party, baggies and bikinis edition, on Saturday with music from DJ Drazen.

The Backyard Restaurant at Solé East Resort (90 Second House Road, Montauk, www.soleeast.com) will have music from Little Sister on Friday from 6 to 9 p.m., followed by a DJ from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday will feature a Poolside set from DJ Nes, a set from Sturdy Souls from 6 to 9 p.m., and DJ Anna from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Finally, on Sunday, it’ll be a Bossa Nova Brunch with Marcello and Ludmilla from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Amagansett:

Make hump day less mundane by catching Ain’t So EZ (at 8 p.m.) and Karaoke with Helen “The Diva” McGuire (at 10 p.m.) at Stephen Talkhouse (161 Main Street, Amagansett, stephentalkhouse.com). Thursday brings Roses Grove Band (at 8 p.m.) and LHT with Bosco (at 10 p.m.) to the stage. Friday will feature Maria Ellis and Band at 7:30 p.m. and a Saved by the 90’s Party! with Bayside Tigers at 10 p.m. After their show at The Surf Lodge, you can catch City of the Sun at the Talkhouse on Saturday at 9 p.m. Hot Lava will follow at 11 p.m. A benefit concert for Bridgehampton Childcare & Recreational Center headlined by Evan Sherman Band kicks Sunday off at 7 p.m. and Reggae Night with Gary Nesta Pine & Love Generation Band starts at 10 p.m. Another benefit concert, Musicians Unite to Help Arno Hecht, will take place on Monday at 6 p.m. and Outrageous Open Mic Night is back at 10 p.m. On Tuesday, it’s Jettykoon at 8 p.m. and Industry Night with LHT at 10 p.m.

East Hampton:

Our Fabulous Variety Show (OFVS) will hold its 2nd annual Fundraiser Gala on Saturday at a private residence in East Hampton. The event will launch with a VIP champagne reception from 5 to 6 p.m. The Gala will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. and feature bites from Harbor Bistro and the Opa! food truck from Old Stove Pub, dessert of Dressen’s Donuts, sips from Montauk Brewery and Simple Vodka, wine and soft drinks, and music from DJ Johnny. There will also be pop up entertainment throughout the evening featuring OFVS stars, as well as a fabulous drag performance by Diva Rusty Nails. Sagaponack:

Twilight Thursdays at Wolffer Tasting Room (139 Sagg Road, Sagaponack) will feature Julie Bluestone, while sunset sets at the Wolffer Wine Stand (3312 Montauk Highway, Sagaponack, 631-537-5106, www.wolffer.com) will bring Clinton Curtis and Hopefully Forgiven. Performances begin around 5 p.m.

Townline BBQ’s (3593 Townline Road, Sagaponack, www.townlinebbq.com) Bands, Brews & BBQ will feature HooDoo Loungers, starting at 6 p.m.

Bridgehampton:

The Ellen Hermanson Foundation and The White Room Gallery are hosting a Summer Solstice Kick Off Party during the opening of Balancing Act – featuring artists Sally Breen, EJ Camp, Joan Konkel and John Mazlish – at The White Room (2415 Main Street, Bridgehampton, www.ellenhermanson.org). The soiree will take place on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. and feature wine and light bites. Admission is free and a portion of the proceeds from art sold benefits the Foundation.

Water Mill:

Calissa (1020 Montauk Highway, Water Mill, www.calissahamptons.com) will present Brazilian Bossa-Nova and Samba Featuring Ludmilla on Friday and DJ Adam Lipson on Saturday.

Southampton:

Southampton Social Club (256 Elm Street, Southampton, www.southamptonsocialclub.com) will have beats from Loki on Thursday, Martial on Friday, and Fresh on Saturday.

Union Cantina (40 Bowden Square, Southampton, www.unioncantina.net) will present performances from Evan Miller on Thursday, John Sap – acoustic – on Friday, and Vibe on Saturday. Sets start around 5 p.m. on Thursday and around 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Champagne Fridays at AM Southampton (125 Tuckahoe Lane, Southampton, www.amsouthampton.com) will feature Just Joe, Efra, DJ Chile, while Saturday will showcase Jaasu, an up-and-coming producer who has worked with Rich the Kid and Famous Dex.

Westhampton Beach:

The 4th Annual Save the Bay Oyster Fling, in support of Moriches Bay Project, will take place on Saturday at the Westhampton Beach Marina (1 Library Avenue, Westhampton Beach, morichesbayproject.org) from 7 to 10 p.m. The evening will feature the Project’s “oyster fling,” bites by Buoy One, cocktails, music by La Vie En Rose, a cigar bar featuring Hampton Cigar Company, oyster wine by Proud Pour, Hampton Coffee Company treats, and silent and Chinese auctions.

Shelter Island:

A Sunset Beach Cocktail Party, in support of the 61st Annual Shelter Island Fireworks, will take place at Sunset Beach (35 Shore Road, Shelter Island, www.shelterislandfireworks.com) on Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. The affair will include Sunset Beach cocktails, hors d’eourves, and raffle prizes.

North Fork:

Peconic Baykeeper is hosting Toast to our Bays, an evening of sustainably sourced seafood and wine, at Macari Vineyards (24385 Main Road, Cutchogue, peconicbaykeeper.org) on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m.
