Retail Delivery Service That Offers Delivery Within The Hour Launching On The East End

Love to shop but not a fan of scouring the store to find your intended items?

The fast-growing retail delivery service is expanding its services to the East End on Thursday, April 19.

So what does that mean? You can shop at your favorite retailers, including BJ’s Wholesale Club, Costco, Best Market, CVS, and Petco – whose service will begin on Thursday, April 26 – and have it promptly delivered to your house in as little as one hour.

“Over the past year we’ve seen incredible demand in the Riverhead area,” said Walker Dieckmann, General Manager at Instacart. “We work with a variety of local retailers to provide the freshest, highest quality groceries to our customers.”

You can do your shopping either on the Instacart website or mobile app. Once you’ve added your desired products to the virtual cart, then you select a delivery time, with your options being within an hour, within two hours, or up to five days in advance, and then check out.

After that, an Instacart shopper receives your order, picks up the items, and then delivers your items to you within that selected delivery window.

“Launching in Riverhead gives us an opportunity to expand service in the New York market,” Dieckmann added. “We’re also excited to build a world class shopper community, where we can offer fun and flexible income earning opportunities for our shoppers, who ultimately deliver this amazing service to the community.”

The delivery fee for orders of $35 or more is $5.99. Instacart also offers an Express membership that features unlimited, complimentary same-day delivery on orders of $35 or more for $14.99 a month or $149 a year.

Instacart is offering a special promotion for first time users. If you enter the code HEYRIVERHEAD at checkout, you’ll get $20 off your order of $35 or more, plus a free first time delivery. The code expires on Tuesday, June 19.
