On Saturday, July 11, God’s Love We Deliver (GLWD), NYC’s premier provider of medically tailored meals and nutrition education and counseling for individuals affected by serious illness, held its 25th annual Midsummer Night Drinks event at the East Hampton home of Culinary Council member David Burtka and husband Neil Patrick Harris. The event raised over half a million dollars supporting GLWD’s crucial work, one of the most successful Midsummer Nights Drinks to date.

“We could not have imagined a more magical evening for our 25th Anniversary of Midsummer Night Drinks,” said Terrence Meck, President & CEO of God’s Love We Deliver. “Our deepest thanks to Culinary Council member David Burtka and Neil Patrick Harris for opening their gorgeous home and bringing together such an extraordinary community in support of our mission. The generosity and spirit on display throughout the night were a beautiful reminder of what is possible when people come together for a cause they believe in. We are so grateful to all of our supporters who continue to show up for God’s Love We Deliver. Every dollar raised helps ensure that New Yorkers living with serious illness receive the medically tailored meals and nutrition they need, always delivered with love.”

Attending the event were Katie Couric, Hari Nef, Tyler Lain, Sophie Sumner, Jamie Drake, Katie Lee Biegel, Stacey Bendet, Derek Blasberg, Nick Brown, and Alina Cho.
“Hosting this evening is one of our favorite summer traditions,” said Neil Patrick Harris. “David and I are proud to support God’s Love We Deliver and the extraordinary work they do for New Yorkers affected by serious illness. We are so grateful to everyone who joined us and helped turn a beautiful summer evening into something that will make a real difference.”

There was a glamorous synchronized swimming performance by the Aqualillies, and the soulful Brenna Whitaker sang throughout the evening.

“Serving on God’s Love We Deliver’s Culinary Council has deepened my appreciation for the incredible impact a meal can have,” said Culinary Council Member David Burtka. “As someone who loves bringing people together through food, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful it can be to nourish both body and spirit. Neil and I are honored to help support an organization that delivers all of that to New Yorkers affected by serious illness.”
While mingling poolside, guests savored passed hors d’oeuvres, Petrossian Caviar, and a lavish raw bar station complemented by cocktails and wine generously provided by Mermaid Gin, Wölffer Estate Vineyard, and Fever-Tree. Guests also enjoyed mocktails from David Burtka and Neil Patrick Harris’s book Both Sides of the Glass.
