Sag Harbor Whaling & Historical Museum’s (200 Main Street, Sag Harbor, www.sagharborwhalingmuseum.org) Halloween programming will begin on Friday, October 27 with “Spirits Of Sag Harbor” – A ‘Haunted’ Walking Tour Of The Village. From 6 to 8 p.m., Annette Hinkle will take attendees on a haunted walking tour of Sag Harbor that will make several stops throughout the Village as true ghostly tales are revealed. On Saturday, October 28, the Museum will present History Unearthed – A Walking Tour of The Old Burying Grounds, with Tony Garro who will lead a spooky excursion through Old Burying Ground, the Village’s original municipal burial site, which opened in 1767 and had its last burial in 1871, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Tickets are $15.
The Chequit (23 Grand Avenue, Shelter Island Heights, www.thechequit.com) is hosting a weekend full of Halloween excitement, starting with Spooky Trivia on Friday, October 27. Host Cat Brigham will test attendees’ knowledge about Halloween-themed trivia at Red Maple (The Chequit’s restaurant) beginning at 6:30 p.m. There is no admission fee. A Masquerade Murder Mystery Dinner will take over Red Maple on Saturday, October 28. Participants will have the task of trying not to cast suspicion on themselves as they attempt to figure out who the guilty party really is. The whodunit begins at 6 p.m. and admission is $75, which includes a rustic buffet dinner. Reservations are required.

You have two opportunities to view the cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show. The first will be held at Southampton Arts Center (25 Jobs Lane, Southampton, southamptonartscenter.org) on Friday, October 27 at 10 p.m. and admission is $10. Later on in the weekend, time warp down to the Suffolk Theater (118 East Main Street, Riverhead, www.suffolktheater.com) on Sunday, October 29 at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $12.50 and the attendees with the best Rocky Horror costumes will take home a prize.
Are you a fan of Abbot And Costello Meet Frankenstein? Larry “the Wolffman” will lead a “wildly entertaining” and revealing presentation about the comedy at Hampton Library (2478 Main Street, Bridgehampton, www.hamptonlibrary.org) on Saturday, October 28 at 1 p.m. Admission is free.
East Hampton Historical Society (www.easthamptonhistory.org) will present a South End Cemetery Tour, where stories of notable individuals resting there will be shared, on Saturday, October 28, starting at 6:30 p.m. The tour will meet at the steps of St. Luke’s (James Lane, East Hampton). Admission is free, but donations will be accepted.
Quogue Library (90 Quogue Street, Quogue, www.quoguelibrary.org) will present Understanding Hitchcockian Thrillers on Sunday, October 29 from 2 to 4 p.m. During the event, Howard Oboler will cover some of the most well-known scenes in Hitchcock movie history. Admission is free.
