The Sag Harbor Historical Society will host its final Fridays on the Porch of the season on Friday, August 25 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Traditionally the Fridays on the Porch finale is a “Sag Harbor Show and Tell,” so comb your attics or basements for anything that might need some investigating or lead to a lively conversation.
“The Sag Harbor Historical Society is excited to be wrapping up their Fridays on the Porch Series with a ‘Sag Harbor Show and Tell,'” shared Nancy Remkus of the Sag Harbor Historical Society. “You just never know what kind of things people might bring.”
If you have never been to a Fridays on the Porch, which take place at the Annie Cooper Boyd House, you will not be disappointed by the fun gathering that attracts people of all ages, history lovers, neighbors, visitors and friends, who attend these get-togethers to learn more about the area, mingle with new friends, and celebrate summer.
“Lots of fun and great conversation is sure to ensue, not to mention some pretty awesome refreshments,” she shared. “During these community events we surely help to keep the history of our amazing village alive and well.”

At last year’s “Sag Harbor Show and Tell,” everyone was particularly intrigued by Diane Schiavoni’s peach pit sculpture of John F. Kennedy and the threaded sandwich glass knob from a bureau upstairs in the Annie Cooper Boyd House.

Admission to Fridays on the Porch is free and all are welcome.
