The Shelter Island Historical Society will host its signature fundraising event, Black and White, on Saturday, July 22. The dance will be held at Havens Barn in Shelter Island from 6 to 10 p.m.
“This year’s B&W will be our 5th,” said Nanette Lawrenson, Executive Director of the Historical Society. “It’s our major fund raiser and supports our programs and operations.
Make sure you bring your dancing shoes because DJ Twilo will be there all night with great music! Alice’s Fish Market will provide a raw bar and dinner will be by Marie Eiffel Market.
“It’s fun, creative, elegant and casual at the same time,” explained Lawrenson. “Very Shelter Island!”
Also, dress to impress because photographer Eleanor Labrozzi will return with her photo booth and be photographing guests in their black and/or white attire. All photo’s will be mailed to guests after the event. “A highlight of the event, we’ve heard that guests think about their outfit months in advance,” shared Lawrenson.
Tickets are $231 per person online and $225 otherwise.
The Shelter Island Historical Society’s mission is to “collect, research, preserve, and share local history.”
