It’s goodbye for now for a beloved East End-based group!
On Wednesday, July 5, Guild Hall in East Hampton will serve as the home for Mamalee Rose and Friends’ “Irish Goodbye” show. After headlining many, many local benefits, weddings, festivals, outdoor shows, and club dates over the years, the local legends have decided they will no longer enchant local audiences on a regular basis. But, before retiring, Mamalee Rose and Friends will present one last concert of highlights, a lineup of the band’s much-loved standards, favorite songs, and handpicked selections that will take fans down memory lane. This show will certainly be one for the books!
The “farewell” concert will feature Lee (Mamalee) Lawler and her daughter Rose Lawler on the vocals, her husband Jimmy Lawler on the drums, Bosco Michne and Klyph Black on the guitar, Josh Brussell on the bass, and Fred Glide on the keyboard.
“It’s an absolute blast when we get to play our favorite songs and think through a show in a theater,” said Rose Lawler.
Some of the band’s friends, including Inda Eaton, Michael Weiskopf, and Kenny Harris, will join Mamalee on stage for unmissable collaborations, and get ready for special guest appearances by Randolph Hudson III and Job Potter.
“There’s nothing like mother and daughter harmony…it gets me every time when I hear Lee and Rose and see Jim in the background as proud papa,” said Inda Eaton.
Starting out the evening, OCDC has created a set featuring Cynthia Daniels, Sarah Greene, Michael LeClerc, and James Benard.
Tickets to Mamalee Rose and Friends’ “Irish Goodbye” show are an absolute steal at just $25.
