4th of July in the Hamptons means that St. Luke’s Episcopal Church’s annual Summer Family Fair is near. Taking place on Saturday, July 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the beloved East End tradition, which has been held every summer for more than a hundred years, will feature exciting family-fun activities such as face painting and pony rides, and much more.

“The St. Luke’s Summer Fair is the oldest fair in the Hamptons,” explained Rev. Denis Brunelle. “It not only offers a wonderful experience for families, but it also raises much needed funds for local charitable organizations.”
This year’s Fair will bring a water slide, the Big Apple Circus clown Dikki Ellis, a bounce house, a magic show, carnival games, and other amusing entertainment. While the kids are having fun moms can keep busy by stopping by a vintage clothing booth that will have couture dresses, ready-to-wear clothing and bespoke suits. Even dads will love this Fair because the silent auction will include impressive items like rounds of golf at the best Hamptons golf courses. Don’t forget to come hungry because there will be a plethora of yummy foods available – whether you’re in the mood for something savory like local clams or sweet like cookies.
And the well attended event isn’t just popular with the locals. “People come from three states to find treasures at the vintage clothing booth, and golfers are excited by the opportunity to bid on golf outings at some of the Hamptons premier golf courses,” shared Rev. Brunelle.
A portion of the money raised during the Summer Family Fair will be donated to charities such as Maureen’s Haven, Community Soup Dinners and The Retreat.
Admission to the event is free and each game costs just $2.
Additionally, the Church is looking for some help in making this event run smoothly. They are looking for sponsors to help with costs, donations for the silent auctions, baked goods and volunteers to help set up the day before. If you are interested in volunteering, more information is available on their website.
