Recent research has shown that those who laugh more live longer, and isn’t it everyone’s New Year’s resolution to be a healthier ‘you’ starting January 1st? So why not celebrate your holiday the healthier way with an evening full of laughs during Long Island Comedy Festival’s New Year’s Laughin’ Eve 2016?!
“Our New Year’s Eve comedy shows have really become popular,” noted Paul Anthony, Long Island comedian and Executive Producer of the Long Island Comedy Festival. “People want to laugh more, and our shows help them achieve that goal. Research shows that laughter has many health benefits.”
Long Island Comedy Festival will present New Year’s Eve shows that will take place in four different locations across Long Island. Theatre Three (412 Main Street, Port Jefferson) will welcome Paul Anthony, Rich Walker and Keith Anthony for shows at 6 p.m. ($49) and 8 p.m. ($59). The Suffolk Theatre (118 East Main Street, Riverhead) will host Bryan McKenna, Maria Walsh and Richie Byrne at 8 p.m. ($45). The Madison Theatre (1000 Hempstead Avenue, Rockville Centre) will present Eric Haft, Tina Giorgi and Rob Falcone at 7 p.m. ($45, 55, 65) and The Cultural Playhouse (170 Michael Drive, Syosset) will feature Peter Bales, Steve Lazarus and Carie Karavas at 8 p.m. ($45).
“Our goal is to bring more laughter and fun to Long Islanders!” added Anthony. “The best part is our shows are all early! So people can still go to dinner, parties, or go home and watch the ball drop. Personally I like to go to bed after the shows! LOL!”
Long Island Comedy is a private club aiming to support live stand-up comedy in our community. Shows run year round, all across the island.
