Wyndham Clark won his second U.S. Open this past Sunday at the historic Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton. Hundreds of spectators filled the grandstands at the 18th hole, while more lined the area between the ropes and the stands, eagerly watching history being made.

Clark held a six-stroke lead going into Sunday. Ultimately, his one-putt par secured the championship.

Clark’s friends and family rushed onto the green to congratulate him moments after his victory. His father, Randall, flew in from Denver to surprise his son, creating a memorable Father’s Day moment.

For the first time since 2018, co-low amateurs were honored at the U.S. Open. Ryder Cowan, a senior at the University of Oklahoma, competed in his first championship, while World No. 1 amateur Jackson Koivun played in his final event as an amateur. The two received co-low amateur honors during the final-round ceremony.

During the press conference, Clark was asked how he felt joining an elite group of two-time U.S. Open champions. Clark shared, “The first one was amazing, and this one seems even better. I think especially after such a sour taste last year in this championship, to have some redemption, and win this again is, I mean, gosh, it’s almost surreal.”
