The Hamptons Visitors Council (HVC) has launched a new website and will also debut its “Taste the Towns and Fall in Love with the South Fork” marketing campaign soon.
The new site, www.hamptonsvc.com, emphasizes the change to the HVC’s mission which is to collaborate as strategic partners with the area’s Cultural, Heritage, Art, Performance, and Nature Center organizations. These organizations now have prominent positions on the HVC website, offering visitors the chance to explore its partners’ rich year-round programming.
“Things get pretty quiet here after October thru May, and that’s not good for business – whether you own a restaurant or run a museum or art gallery,” remarked Kevin Lonnie, the Acting Executive Director. “We had to refocus and strengthen our collaborations.”
The HVC team has also added a new Special Events and Calendar pages that feature the special things going on in Southampton in a glamorous “concierge experience” marketing style. Local businesses will surely benefit from the resulting increase in cultural tourism as the HVC has made it their goal to target the longer stay tourists.
