For those who have been unable to score tickets (like most of us) to the Broadway hit Hamilton, a special treat is coming to Bridgehampton SoulCycle on Sunday, August 21st from 6 to 8 p.m., as original Hamilton cast members come to the Hamptons to ride along for a good cause!
The once in a lifetime session will not just be good for your body, however, but it will also benefit The Public Theater, making it a great daily dose of philanthropy and exercise.
The exceptional class, which will take place on August 21st, will welcome cast members Jasmine Cephas Jones (who played Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds) and Anthony Ramos (who played John Laurens / Philip Hamilton), as well as choreographer Andy Blankenbuehler and Set Designer David Korins. To pump up attendees even more, SoulCycle will play songs exclusively from the popular soundtrack.
“Hamilton began at The Public Theater and we are thrilled with its continued success and the tremendous impact it has had on the world that we live in,” said Arielle Tepper Madover, Board Chair at The Public Theater and a Tony Award winning theater and film producer. “This fundraiser is a way for people to have fun doing what they love with some members of the tremendously talented team from the show, as well as make a donation to a great cause, The Public Theater, which believes that culture belongs to everyone.”
Tickets start at $250 and go up to $1000 (which includes sponsoring a creative and cast member’s ride and reserving a premier bike next to them) for the exclusive ride.
Founded by Joe Papp, The Public Theater is the sole New York theater “that produces Shakespeare, the classics, musicals, contemporary and experimental pieces in equal measure.” Led by Artistic Director Oskar Eustis and Executive Director Patrick Willingham, The Public Theater serves as an “advocate for the theater as an essential cultural force, and leading and framing dialogue on some of the most important issues of our day.”
SoulCycle Bridgehampton is located at 264 Butter Lane in Bridgehampton. For more information or to reserve tickets, click www.eventbrite.com.
