American Heart Month is often marked by bold red clothing, but this February, Saunders & Associates is giving the moment deeper meaning with a community-centered evening focused on education, connection, and action. On Friday, February 27 at 5:30 p.m., the Westhampton Beach office of Saunders & Associates will open its doors for a special gathering in support of the American Heart Association and women’s heart health.
Heart disease remains the number one killer of women, a fact that still surprises many. Yet there is real hope behind the statistics: nearly 80 percent of cardiovascular events can be prevented through education, research, and community-based programs. This event is designed to bring that message home—offering attendees not only awareness, but practical tools that can save lives.
One of the evening’s most impactful moments will be a hands-only CPR demonstration, showing just how quickly and simply an ordinary person can learn a lifesaving skill. It’s the kind of knowledge that stays with you long after the event ends, empowering participants to act confidently in an emergency. Alongside the demonstration, the gathering offers a chance to connect with fellow Saunders & Associates professionals and members of the local community who share a commitment to health, advocacy, and giving back.
Hosted by Laura Dalessandro, Associate Real Estate Broker at Saunders & Associates and an Executive Leadership Team member of the American Heart Association, the event reflects a personal and professional dedication to making a difference. Donations raised support lifesaving science, critical research, and educational initiatives that focus specifically on women, whose symptoms and experiences with heart disease often differ from those of men.
“As a member of the American Heart Association’s leadership board, I’m thrilled to see Saunders & Associates bring heart health to the forefront in such a personal way. This event isn’t just about awareness; it’s about empowering each of us with knowledge and practical skills. I hope everyone leaves not only inspired but confident in their ability to take action for their own heart health and the well-being of others,” said Laura Dalessandro.
Guests are encouraged to wear red in solidarity, a visual reminder that small actions can spark meaningful change. Whether attending in person or supporting the cause from afar, every contribution helps fund programs that educate, empower, and protect women and families in our community and beyond.
The event will take place at the Saunders & Associates Westhampton Beach office, located at 33 Sunset Avenue. For those who wish to contribute, donations can be made to the American Heart Association through the fundraising page. When women unite for heart health, awareness turns into action—and action saves lives.
