On Monday, July 18th, Nacho Figueras, an international polo star and Ralph Lauren model, will be hosting a free polo lesson for Center for Therapeutic Riding of the East End (CTREE) riders at Wolffer Estate Stables, beginning at 5 p.m.
“As a father of four, a polo player and a believer in the incredible therapeutic love that horses have, I am proud to support CTREE and to see how therapeutic riding supports CTREE riders and their families,” said Figueras, who also supported the CTREE at Sebonack benefit in 2014.
CTREE is an organization that provides therapeutic riding lessons to children, young adults, and veterans with cognitive, emotional, and physical disabilities. They are a Premier Accredited member center of the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH), and all CTREE instructors are PATH certified.

In excitement for this upcoming event, CTREE’s managing director Karen Bocksel says, “Witnessing polo ponies racing at top speeds across the field, watching horses jump great heights at the Hampton Classic and then watching our gentle and understanding horses work with our special needs students is a reminder of how versatile and powerful equines are.” This will be a great opportunity for riders to show their skills and development, as well as try something new!
This polo lesson is being donated by Nacho Figueras and is free for CTREE riders.
Wolffer Estate Stables is located at 41 Narrow Lane East in Sagaponack. For more information, call 631-779-2835 or visit www.ctreeny.org.
