The gala is SoFo’s most important event of the year because it raises vital funds in support of the educational and environmental programs at the Museum. “We are so very happy to be honoring the great humanitarians the Patsy and Jeff Tarr Family and Anke and Jürgen Friedrich, and to be welcoming featured Chef Alex Guarnaschelli, our special co-hosts Tracy Anderson and Katie Lee, and our Chairs Ann Liguori and Kim and Greg Lippman at SoFo’s 27th Annual Summer Gala Benefit,” said Diana Aceti, Director of Development and Events at SoFo.
The pre-gala VIP cocktail reception will include a Tasting Menu provided by Chef Matty Boudreau from Baron’s Cove, David Loewenberg and Sam McClelland from The Beacon and Bell & Anchor, Chef Sarah Hong of the East Hampton Grill, Keith Davis from the Golden Pear, Greg Grossman from Oreya Restaurant & Lounge at The Capri, Kerry Heffermen from the Grand Banks, Mike Martinson from Montauk Shellfish Co. Inc., Andrew Reice from the Swedish Culinary Summer, and Terry Harwood from the Wine Street Cafe. Additionally, the evening will feature food prepared farm-to-table by Peter Ambrose. While guests enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, they will be entertained by the Nancy Atlas Project Band. The evening will also include an appearance by Featured Guest Chef: Food Network’s Chef Alex Guarnaschelli.

“I am thrilled to support SoFo! It’s an educational place dedicated to empowering families to become stewards of our planet. What grows in a habitat? What animals thrive? Where and why do birds do what they do? All questions to explore at Sofo,” explained Chef Alex Guarnaschelli. “The future of the earth depends on our children and this place mixes fun and learning in the best way.”
The VIP pre-gala cocktail hour will run from 6 to 7 p.m., with the event reception running from 7 to 10 p.m. VIP tickets are $1,250 with VIP tables priced at $10,000. General admission tickets are $400, and discounted rates for Young Professionals (under 30) start at $275.
