Along with two weekends filled with East End St. Patrick’s Day Parades, several festive parties, benefits, and other celebrations will also take place.
The revelries will begin with Aid to the Developmentally Disabled’s (ADD) 2nd annual Shamrock Shindig (www.addny.org) at the Long Island Aquarium & Exhibition Center (431 East Main Street, Riverhead) on Thursday, March 10th from 6:30 to 10 p.m. The soiree mixes Irish charm, laughter and adventure. Partygoers will enjoy an evening of Irish food and beverages, a live comedy show and the chance to watch an attendee being lowered into the aquarium’s 120,000-gallon shark tank as part of ADD’s unique Shark Tank Showdown. Tickets are $65 for adults and $25 for children.
IGHL will host its 26th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner and Chinese Auction featuring guest chef Walter O’Stockton at the IGHL Opportunity Center (221 North Sunrise Service Road, Manorville, www.ighl.org) on Friday, March 11th, from 4 to 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children.

Following the Am O’Gansett St. Patrick’s Day Parade (www.amagansettchamber.org) on Saturday, March 12th, a Grand Marshal Reception will take place at the Amagansett Library (215 Main Street, Amagansett) from 12:30 to 2 p.m. All are welcome at the post parade bash that will include refreshments and cupcake decorating for kids.
Indian Wells Tavern (117 Main Street, Amagansett, www.indianwellstavern.com) is also toasting to the Am O’Gansett Parade with drink specials and a corned beef and cabbage special that will be offered all day on Saturday, March 12th. And on the eve of the Montauk Parade, Indian Wells Tavern is hosting its third annual St. Patrick’s Day pre-parade party. Taking place on Saturday, March 19th, guests will enjoy drink specials and music by DJ Biggie from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.
The 16th Annual “Viva Las Vegas” Paul Koster Memorial Benefit, co-hosted by the Have a Heart Community Trust and the Paul Koster Memorial Scholarship Fund, will take place at Seasons of Southampton (paulkostermemorial.org) on Saturday, March 12th, from 7 to 11 p.m. The evening will showcase local foods and an open bar, as well as DJs and entertainment.

The Point Bar and Grill (697 Montauk Highway, Montauk) will host a Corned Beef & Cabbage Dinner in support of the Montauk St. Patrick’s Day Parade and the Friends of Erin (www.montaukfriendsoferin.org) on Saturday, March 12th from 5:25 to 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children. Along with a traditional Irish dinner, the evening will include music by “Todd the Guitar Guy,” raffles and prizes. The celebrations will continue with the Annual Grand Marshal Luncheon, honoring the 2016 St. Patrick’s Day Parade Grand Marshal Captain Paul Fosberg, at the Montauk Yacht Club Resort & Marina (32 Star Island Road, Montauk) on Friday, March 18th from 12 to 3 p.m. Tickets are $50 in advance and $55 at the door. The final pre-parade soiree is The Gala Cocktail Party, taking place on Saturday, March 19th at Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa (290 Old Montauk Highway, Montauk). From 4 to 8 p.m., guests will enjoy a food buffet, open bar and live music from Booga Sugar. Tickets are $65 in advance and $80 at the door.
Cornell Cooperative Extension is hosting a St. Patrick’s Day Scavenger Hunt at the Suffolk County Farm and Education Center (350 Yaphank Avenue, Yaphank, ccesuffolk.org) on Saturday, March 12th. The family friendly event will feature a quest for the Farm’s Pot o’ Gold, wagon rides, light refreshments, and animal feeding from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is $6.

The Suffolk Theater (118 East Main Street, Riverhead, www.suffolktheater.com) is presenting a special performance featuring Grammy winner Judy Collins on Thursday, March 17th at 8 p.m. The St. Patrick’s Day concert will showcase songs from “Judy Collins: Live in Ireland,” the singer’s 2014 album and TV special that was recorded in Ireland. Tickets begin at $50.
On Friday, March 25th, continue the St. Paddy’s Day spirit at Hotel Indigo (1830 West Main Street, Riverhead) during a Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Tournament benefiting the Westhampton Beach St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee (www.whbstpats.com). The evening kicks off with an open bar at 6 p.m., and the tournament begins at 7 p.m. The buy-in is $100 and the champion takes home a $1,000 cash card, while the 2nd and 3rd place winners also leave with cash cards.
