If you’re an East End resident, chances are living minutes from the beach was one of the reasons you decided to live here. On Saturday, September 12th, several Montauk organizations and businesses, including Concerned Citizens of Montauk and East End Cares, are joining forces to hold the MTK – Beach Sweep 2015.
“We at Navy Beach are excited to be participating in the MTK Beach Sweep again this year,” shared Leyla Marchetto, Partner of Navy Beach. “As a local Montauk business we know how important it is to respect our community and do what we can to protect and preserve our beautiful beaches.”
From 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., whether you’re a local, or just lover of the sea, meet at Zum Schneider Montauk (4 South Elmwood Avenue, Montauk), The Surf Lodge (183 Edgemere Street, Montauk), Dirt Lot at Ditch Plains, or Navy Beach (16 Navy Road, Montauk) and pitch in to help protect local wildlife and restore our beaches to the pristine, debris free state they deserve to be. Sweet ‘Tauk is sweetening the volunteer efforts by providing free lemonade for all attendees who assist with the event.
