“It’s been a long time since I’ve been out East and I can’t wait to reconnect with everyone,” shared Garland Jeffreys. “We’re going to put on a killer show at The Talkhouse and get “wild in the streets” of Amagansett!”
The legendary rocker and his band are ready to bring the house down at the Stephen Talkhouse on Thursday, August 6th. Jeffreys, who has rented a place in Springs every summer for years, feels very connected to the East End community. He’s excited to be back in the Hamptons for another show.
The musician, who was recently inducted into the NY Blues Hall of Fame, explores the links between rock, race and rebellion. His 2011 “The King of In Between” album was hailed by NPR as “as good a classic roots rock record as you’re going to hear from anybody,” and it earned rave reviews from The New Yorker and USA Today.
Jeffreys has had a string of hits, like “Wild in the Streets,” “Matador,” and “Hail Hail Rock ‘N’ Roll,” and has also collaborated with an impressive list of fellow musicians like John Cale, Dr. John, Stan Getz and Sonny Rollins. His timeless songs have been covered by the likes of hardcore punk legends The Circle Jerks and neo-folkies Vetiver.

As for what concertgoers can expect, “[Garland Jeffreys] delivered a lean, mean showcase set with the grace and class that one has come to expect from him,” noted the Austin Chronicle.
