“The ARF team is thrilled that so many ARF dogs and cats were rescued and found homes — especially some of our older, longer term residents,” expressed Sara Davison, Executive Director at Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons, Inc. (ARF).
2014 marks a recording breaking year at Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons, who is celebrating its best year in the organization’s 40 year history. As of Friday, December 26th, ARF’s adoption rate is up 11 percent from last year with 1,236 animals adopted into loving homes. Among the 2014 adoptees, 242 were kittens, 91 cats, 488 puppies and 414 dogs. 1,269 cats, kittens, dogs and puppies were rescued and brought to ARF for care until they find a caring family to adopt them.
It was also a tremendously triumphant year for their Operation Cat and spay/neuter programs, which spayed or neutered over 1,000 animals. ARF hosted their most successful summer benefit to date, which grossed more than $600,000, allowing ARF to assist even more animals in need.
