Whether you want to rock out with a Red Hot Chili Peppers, feast on local fare, or dance into the New Year, here are ten New Year’s Eve celebrations from Montauk to Riverhead.
1. Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith, Fred Cash Jr., and GE Smith are kicking off New Year’s Eve at the Stephen Talkhouse (161 Main Street, Amagansett, 631-267-3117, stephentalkhouse.com) at 8 p.m. Following the unforgettable performance, the Talkhouse’s official NYE bash with The Nancy Atlas Project begins at 10 p.m.

2. For an extravagant evening in the Hamptons, head to Montauk for Gurney’s Black and White Masquerade Gala (290 Old Montauk Highway, Montauk, 631-668-2345, gurneysnye.com). The festivities begin with a cocktail reception and hors d’oeuvres, followed by a five-course sit down dinner, open bar, live musical performance, music from Manhattan-based DJs, a viewing of the Times Square Ball Drop, and seasonal party favors.
3. New Year’s Eve at Page at 63 Main (63 Main Street, Sag Harbor, 631-725-1810, www.page63main.com) starts with a New Year’s Eve prix fixe menu followed by live music from Joe Lauro & The Moondogs, dancing, a Champagne Toast, and party favors from 9 p.m. to close.

4. Southampton Social Club’s New Year’s Eve Bash (256 Elm Street, Southampton, 631-287-1400, www.southamptonsocialclub.com) begins at 7 p.m. Watch live coverage of the Ball Drop from Times Square while dancing to music by DJ Steven Paul.

5. Children of all ages are invited to celebrate the start of 2015 a little early during CMEE’s Annual New Year’s Eve Ball Drop (376 Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike, Bridgehampton, 631-537-8250, www.cmee.org) from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Attendees will gather in the CMEE “Square” for their biggest bash of the year, which will kickoff with a workshop to make special holiday noisemakers.

6. Laugh, Dine and Dance during Suffolk Theater’s New Year’s Eve Party (118 East Main Street, Riverhead, 631-727-4343, suffolktheater.com). Comedians Sherry Davey, JJay Boyd, and Tom Daddario are headlining the event, which also features a DJ, dancing after the show, and a complimentary champagne toast at midnight. Doors, the bar, and restaurant open at 6:30 p.m., and the show begins at 8 p.m.
7. Keep calm and welcome in 2015 at Cowfish (258 East Montauk Highway, Hampton Bays, 631-594-3868, www.cowfishhamptonbays.com). Their NYE festivities will feature a four-course meal, champagne toast, balloon drop, music from a DJ, dancing, and party favors.

8. Almond is hosting a festive special prix fixe New Year’s Eve menu (1 Ocean Road, Bridgehampton, 631-537-5665, www.almondrestaurant.com) showcasing locally sourced items during their four-course meal. The feast starts at 9 p.m., and will include a champagne toast and party favors.
9. 230 Elm (230 Elm Street, Southampton, 631-377-3900, 230elm.com) is also hosting an evening of live music on NYE. Performances begin with Scotte Hopson during their weekly happy hour from 4 to 7 p.m. Doors for the New Year’s Eve musical extravaganza open at 8 p.m., and the night will include performances from Fred Rai Soiree, An Old Friend, Three Year Theory, and local favorites Earthreal.

10. Another bash open to all ages is Long Island Aquarium & Exhibition Center’s Fishes & Wishes-Family Friendly New Year’s Eve Event (431 East Main Street, Riverhead, 631-208-9200, www.longislandaquarium.com) from 6:30 to 11 p.m. The evening will feature a cocktail hour, buffet dinner, dancing, crafts for the kids, a dessert and ice cream bar, and a mock Midnight champagne and sparkling cider toast, which will take place at 10:30 p.m. Attendees will also be able to explore the Aquarium to view their majestic aquatic animals.
