ESPN is proud to present the annual Hamptons PRO-AM tennis event on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at the East Hamptons Indoor Tennis Center. The benefit event will raise funds which directly support the United States Tennis Association’s mission to correlate tennis with education and to continue the tradition of American tennis by putting rackets in the hands of under-resourced youth.
The PRO-AM will feature a doubles round robin format from 12 to 4 p.m., where rookies will have the opportunity to trade backhands and return serves with some of tennis’ greatest champions. Following the tournament, attendees will enjoy a special cocktail reception from 4 to 6 p.m., complete with a performance by Grammy Award winning artist Matthew Koma.
Coming out to support the cause is a variety of tennis legends and celebrities including Alec Baldwin, Jim Courier, Chris Evert, Rod Gilbert of the NHL, Tom Gullikson, Steve Guttenberg, Boris Kodjoe, Patrick McEnroe, Kerry Rhodes of the NFL, John Starks of the NBA and Jill Zarin.
Tickets are $125 for the cocktail reception and $1,500 for Point Level, which includes entry to the Pro-Am, two tickets to the reception, and one player gift bag.
