In 2012, after a 50 year domination by Orson Welles’ “Citizen Kane,” Alfred Hitchcock’s “Vertigo” was named the Best Film of all time by the British Film journal “Sight & Sound.” The list comes out every 10 years, and is determined by hundreds of critics, academics and film distributors.
Guild Hall and the Hamptons International Film Festival will present a screening of the Hitchcock masterpiece on Saturday, February 22, at 7:30 p.m. Alec Baldwin will host the evening.
The film stars Jimmy Stewart and Kim Novack in a tale of obsessive love set in San Francisco.
Tickets are $22 for general admission and $20 for members.
