Life@Nite: Cadillac’s Sound Waves @ The House Kicks Off This Weekend

It will be a British invasion in Montauk when Sound Waves @ The House presented by Cadillac kicks off at The Montauk Beach House (55 South Elmwood Avenue, 631-668-2112, thembh.com) on Saturday, July 20th. A performance by British singer-songwriter Natalia Kills with DJ Hesta Prynn will open the summer music and fashion series followed by a set from DJ Vince Clarke of Depeche Mode, Erasure, VCMG, and Yaz fame. Fashionistas will enjoy the presentation showcasing summer ready-to-wear, cabana swimwear and accessories from MILLY which will be attended by designer and founder Michelle Smith.

The Backyard Restaurant at Solé East Resort (90 Second House Road, 631-668-2105, www.soleeast.com) in Montauk has live music all weekend beginning on Thursday, July 18th with Winston Irie and the Selective Security Band at 8 p.m. On Friday, July 19th catch Montauk’s own Jettykoon from 7 to 9 p.m. followed by DJ Faze at 10 p.m. Start Saturday with music from DJ Ana at 1 p.m. followed by the Summer Concert Series featuring a solo acoustic performance by Laura Stevenson at 6:30 p.m. and music by DJ Faze starting at 10 p.m.

The Surf Lodge (183 Edgemere Street, 631-668-1562, www.thesurflodge.com) in Montauk has a performance by Youngblood Hawke on Saturday, July 20th, followed by a set from Ladyhawke as part of the Samsung Giga Sound DJ Sessions. On Sunday, July 21th Carrera Sunglasses will present a solo performance Brendan O’Hara.

Sloppy Tuna (148 South Emerson Avenue, 631-647-8000, www.thesloppytuna.com) in Montauk has a Red Bull Sponsored Volleyball tournament and after party on Saturday, July 20th. Watch as 16 teams vie for the tournament trophy from 12 to 5 p.m. with awards given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Also on Saturday, DJ Frequnik will spin from 12 to 5 p.m., followed by DJ Woogz from 5 to 11 p.m. and DJ Terry Urban will spin from 11 to 4 a.m. Stop by Sunday, July 21st to enjoy a performance from Twista.

Navy Beach (16 Navy Road, 631-668-6868, navybeach.com) in Montauk continues One Love á La Plage Sundays on July 21th with live music from Nancy Atlas starting at 5 p.m.

At The Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett (161 Main Street, 631-267-3117, www.stephentalkhouse.com) Inda Eaton is performing at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17th followed by karaoke starting at 10 p.m. Joan Osborne will take the stage at 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 18th and 80’s cover band with a reggae twist, Mash Up! will perform at 10 p.m. Friday, July 19th begins with a performance from legendary musician and songwriter Leon Russell at 8 p.m. and pop tribute band Party Rock!! at 10 p.m. On Saturday, July 20th catch Martin Sexton at 7 p.m. followed by five-piece top 40 cover band Hello Brooklyn at 10 p.m. Sunday, July 21th features Dave Wakeling & the English Beat at 8 p.m. followed by Reggae Night at 10 p.m. East End indie-rock group Break Past Reason will perform on Monday, July 22th at 8 p.m. and enjoy “Mardi Gras Party Gras” with DCE at 10 p.m. Start Tuesday, July 23th with Knocked Up at 8 p.m. and Hopefully Forgiven as part of Industry Night at 10 p.m.

Guild Hall is hosting a party for its Young Contemporary Members on Saturday July 20th from 4 to 6 p.m. at Topping Rose House (1 Bridgehampton Sag Harbor Turnpike, 631-537-0870 www.guildhall.org) in Bridgehampton. The event which will feature food, performance art and spirited cocktails is open to anyone 21 to 45 years.
