Over 60 dedicated volunteers of the nonprofit Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center (WHBPAC) gathered at the Quogue Village Beach Club on Tuesday, June 4, to commemorate a special 15th Anniversary Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon, hosted by the WHBPAC’s Advisory Council. The event celebrated and honored the work and support provided to the theater by a legion of community volunteers.
The Volunteer Council was treated to a beach party luncheon with a barbeque catered by The Quogue Country Market to salute their efforts.
In effort to help the PAC meet their mission, the dedicated volunteers donated a combined total of over 2,700 hours of service each year to help over 35,000 patrons smoothly flow in and out of the theater.
This school year alone, volunteers will donate their time at twenty-five school day performances and seat over 10,000 students and their teachers at performances that support and enhance the school curriculum.
The volunteers also dedicate their time to administrative staff when help is needed. Their help is essential at key events like the Annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser, pre and post performance parties, as well as many other special events.
